Date – October 09, 2019

The morning of October 09, 2019 a crew of two set out to bring a sailboat from Savannah to Jacksonville. Before clearing the inlet the motor failed listing the boat hard over snapping the jib. Disabled and in  a strong current near the jetties the crew set off their EPIRB and deployed their Coastal Compact. It all happened so fast, it wasn’t too long after their EPRIB pinged they were safely rescued by the USCG. ‘The biggest reason I am here today is the Revere life raft saved my life’
